Atari 800XL S-Video Fix

Most Atari 800XL boards don’t have a chroma signal connected to the video socket, resulting in a monochrome picture when connected via S-Video. As I prefer S-Video over Composite for better video quality, I decided to modify all my 800XLs.

New PCB added to PCB explorer

I’ve added Commodore 64 PCB ASSY No. 250469 replica (by bwack) to PCB explorer. Here is the project page at Github, and here is an interactive BOM for you to explore.

Atari PLCC68 Adapter

I completely forgot to share my Atari ST series PLCC68 socket adapter that I created while repairing several STs in 2022. So here it is: Atari PLCC68 Adapter.

AmiKey revision D

I’ve just released new revision of AmiKey. Not much changes, just PCB cleanup and few minor routing fixes. With this release I’ve included two addtional variants: AmiKey A500 which fits only Amiga 500/500+ and AmiKey 1200 which fits only Amiga 1200. This is for all those users who don’t want additional connector on their keyboard membrane, especially Amiga 1200 user who don’t like A500 connector sticking out of their A1200 keyboard :-) Regular AmiKey still fits both Amiga 500/500+ and 1200.

PCB explorer using KiCad Interactive BOM

When building your new computer using replica or clone PCBs it is very useful to be able to quickly check where specific part is located (or needs to be placed). Also when repairing your favourite retro computer you often need to check where some traces go. There is a simple tool that may help you a lot with this, Interactive HTML BOM plugin. It was written mainly for KiCad but supports few different PCB design applications too.

I’ve created interactive BOMs for few PCB projects that I use/know. You can find them in site menu under PCB explorer.
